Petersfield Under 9 Storm the round robin

What can I say…?

The stats:

During the round robin pool stages and INCLUDING Petersfield vs Petersfield matches,

Phantoms conceded 0 tries
Tornadoes conceded 2 tries
Vulcans conceded 4 tries

That’s six tries conceded against 39 scored with the Phantoms not conceding a single try in the whole tournament.

So Petersfield Under 9s won pool A and came first and third in pool B – so the Final was (as so often happens) Petersfield vs Petersfield.

Each and every player was absolutely magnificent in terms of commitment / teamwork and awareness. They tackled hard, they scored some fantastic tries and there were was some inspiring passing to set up some great tries too.

They all gelled throughout and, as a result, they gave the opposition a bloody nose. I’m feeling very smug – and they should be too.

Their parents should be (and I am sure are) very proud of the way they all played and conducted themselves today. What a mature group of Under 9s we have.
