The event is aimed at kids of 12-years of age and younger and will take place on a specially laid out course. For those not familiar with this type of event, the organisers will be throwing paint powder over the competitors at various points around the course, creating a living rainbow of colour!

Because of the nature of the run, participants are requested to wear rough clothes – that they don’t mind getting splattered! – and must have eye-protection to prevent the powder getting in their eyes. The paint powder is 100% biodegradable, so won’t harm the environment and should brush out of hair and clean off skin quite easily.

The NCS team, (National Citizen Service) , comprising fourteen young people of 16/17-years, are holding the event in support of Action for Children, and will be supervised by an adult NCS member of staff at all times.

The event takes place between 10:00-12:00hrs on Friday the 10th and costs just £3 per entrant.

Action for Children helps protect children who are at risk of harm, working to stop abuse and neglect before it happens. The funds raised by the Colour Run will help the Charity to create a sensory room at their Fareham hub.
