In their first run out for some years Petersfield Vets fielded about 18 players, losing by two points against a dogged Farnham 3rd XV.
Although dominant up front Field couldn't quite put their opponents away, with a missed last minute penalty kick by Petersfield giving the hosts a two-point victory. The loss didn't deflate Field and it is hoped the vets next match in October will prove to be just as popular as their inaugural outing of this season.
