As you will know, PRFC continues to grow and our facilities are fast becoming some of the best in Hampshire. The In-Touch café, floodlit pitches, bar / restaurant and fully equipped gym are all great spaces and we continue to find ways to use these facilities to their full capacity.
Many of you will already know the man who runs Yomp, Scott Heffield, from his days at the Club as both a player and head coach. If you didn’t know him from his days at PRFC, you have probably seen him on the telly, where he has demonstrated his survival skills alongside the likes of Bear Grylls.
Scott and his team (including Steve Stidolph of Gladiator Boot Camp fame and pictured below) will lead the charge moving forward into 2019 with a host of fresh training ideas.
Yomp’s official launch is the 5th of January but the team are already starting to move in to action. Three new fitness instructors have already begun to run classes and personal fitness training sessions at PRFC. Some in the gym, some upstairs in the club house and others outside in the playing area. Very soon we will be providing you with information on dates, times, locations, costs and type of sessions available.
As well as running these fitness classes, Yomp is looking to develop the following areas at the Club:
Free rugby specific fitness training sessions and gym conditioning sessions for players of all ages
Remember: Don’t play rugby to keep fit, get fit to play rugby!!!!
