A massive congratulations to two of Petersfield’s own U16 girls, Alice and Poppy, who have been recognised for their incredible skill and selected to play in Hampshire RFC’s Player Development Group against Surrey RFC this Sunday!
This is an incredible achievement for both these girls, who likely have an exciting journey up the ranks in rugby, playing for club and county. Their work has undoubtedly paid off, and the club cannot wait to see the success that is yet to come. Training and playing with Hampshire RFC’s Red Squad will offer Alice and Poppy the opportunity to play competitive rugby against the best of their age group, and hopefully set them up to further their success in women's rugby.

The commitment and passion for rugby that has been displayed by not just these two players, but the coaching and wider club staff, is incredible, and just goes to show the amazing pathways that are possible from grassroots level up to county and beyond.
Petersfield RFC are super proud of what these girls have achieved, and hopes that it will inspire more girls to pick up a rugby ball and feel that they belong. It is a testament to what can be achieved through hard work and determination, and the development of the girls' rugby pathway here at ‘Field.
The 12-a-side Round-Robin Tournament will take place on Sunday, 14th December at Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre, with a 2pm kick-off. Good luck to Poppy and Alice, we're backing you all the way!
