Whether you’ve played rugby before or you’ve never picked up a ball, this is your chance to get involved in something exciting, welcoming, and full of potential.

The evening will include a no-pressure, fun taster training session led by our new women’s coach Cam Thomas. Cam has extensive experience across our senior squads and youth set-up and is known for his energy, technical know-how, and ability to build confidence in players of all levels.

After training, we’ll head into the clubhouse for food, drinks, and a chat about our plans, including training nights, fixtures, social plans, and our long-term vision for the team.

On Sunday night, we held our first team meeting with the new squad, and the energy in the room was something special. We’re incredibly excited to be launching this team - not just as a new side on the pitch, but as a space for women in the local area to connect, grow, and thrive.

It was particularly fantastic to see so many former women’s players who represented Petersfield in the late 90s and early 2000s engaging with our announcement. A handful even joined us at the meeting last night. We warmly invite anyone who’s been involved with Petersfield Women’s Rugby in the past to come down, reconnect, and help shape the future of this new chapter.

Being a brand-new side, we have a blank slate and the enthusiasm to build something truly special. We don’t just want this to be a team that meets for a run-around on the pitch. We want it to be a family. A supportive, empowering community where every body type, personality, and background is welcomed and celebrated.
