Lead The Field | How Partnership Works at Petersfield RFC for 26/27

The Optimistic End5 Jun - 12:17

Our new commercial framework, explained.

Petersfield RFC is heading into a defining year. Our Men's 1st XV finished the 25/26 season at the highest league position in club history. Our Women's section, re-launched from the ground up just twelve months ago, will officially join the English rugby pyramid for the first time. Our Colts completed the league and Hampshire Plate double. Our Minis section grew past 300 players. Our content has reached over 16 million views this season, taking Petersfield into the national rugby conversation. And we are doing all of it on the road to our 100th year as a club.

None of that happens without our partners. Seventy-eight local businesses backed Petersfield through the 25/26 season, and we are incredibly grateful to every one of them. As we step into 26/27, we have also restructured how partnership works at the club, making it clearer, more flexible, and more accessible for businesses of every size.

The 26/27 framework

The new commercial framework is built around five tiers, plus two cross-cutting families that sit alongside the pyramid.

Lead Partner is the most prominent partnership at the club. One slot per season, with front-of-shirt placement on the men's 1XV home and away kit, title sponsorship of the Petersfield Pub 7s, and a presence woven through everything we do. (click here to find out more)

Principle Partners are the six premium named slots. Four sit on the men's 1XV home kit (P1, with named sponsorships across our Women's section, the Colts, our Framesport analytics platform, and our VEO live streaming and highlights). One is the Youth Principle Partnership (P2, a multi-year package across the U12 to U16 section). One is the Minis Principle Partnership (P3, the front of every Minis shirt sold through the club store).

Elite Partners cover the flexible middle tier. Men's Player Sponsorship (Gold and Silver), Women's Player Sponsorship, Coaches Partnership, Photographer Sponsorship, Vets and Social Rugby Partner, team and equipment sponsors. Bespoke, and sized to fit the partner.

Club Partners is the most accessible cash tier. Pitchside boards around Penns Place, Club 83 monthly giving, Matchday Lunch sponsors, Matchball and MOTM sponsors per fixture, and The Field Fund for facilities improvements across the club.

Community Partners is the brand new barter tier. Local businesses offer Petersfield RFC members a discount or perk of their choice, and in return we promote them across our website, in the matchday programme, in the clubhouse and across our social channels. Think of it as a UniDays or Blue Light Card built specifically for the Petersfield RFC community.

Coming next

Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing dedicated articles on each part of the framework. The Lead Partner. Each of the four P1 slots, one by one. The Youth and Minis Principle Partnerships. The full Elite Partner menu, the Club Partner products, and the new Community Partner tier. Each article will go into detail on what the partnership covers, what it directly funds at the club, and exactly what a sponsoring business receives in return.

If you are already a Petersfield RFC partner, look out for the renewal conversation. If you are a local business thinking about getting involved for the first time, we would love to hear from you. The new framework is designed to make it easier than ever to find a partnership that fits.
