Petersfield RFC has confirmed Advance SRM Therapies as the first business to sign up to its new Community Partners scheme, giving the club's 600-plus playing members access to a package of therapy and recovery benefits, with a particular focus on supporting the club's growing women's and girls' section.

The scheme, relaunched this month after a new membership card system solved the identification issues that held back its initial launch in November, invites local businesses to offer PRFC members discounts and benefits in place of financial sponsorship. In return, partners receive promotion across the club's website, matchday programmes and clubhouse.

Advance SRM, a specialist soft tissue therapy clinic based in Clanfield, supports people across Petersfield, Horndean, Waterlooville and the surrounding areas, helping them move with less pain, more ease and greater confidence in their body. The clinic becomes the scheme's founding partner with a benefits package built around recovery, performance and wellbeing, and a notable emphasis on women's health.

New clients in the women's and girls' section, including players, coaches and team staff, will receive 50% off a first appointment with Jo Wakeford, the clinic's Women's Health and Scar Therapy Specialist, the largest discount in the entire package, followed by 10% off future sessions for the duration of their PRFC membership. It's a specific, resourced offer rather than a generic add-on, covering areas such as postpartum return to sport, pelvic health and scar therapy that are common among women in contact sport but often go unaddressed.

All other new PRFC members are entitled to 20% off their first appointment with any Advance SRM therapist, with the same ongoing 10% discount. Every member, new or existing client, will also receive one complimentary LymphaTouch treatment upgrade and one complimentary kinesiology taping application per season, both at the treating therapist's clinical discretion. A further 10% discount applies to self-care products bought online or in clinic, with 10% of every product sale donated to Maddy's Mark.

Members can access the offers by booking online and adding "PRFC" to the booking comments, by mentioning their membership when booking by phone or in clinic, or by using the code PRFC at the online shop checkout.

As part of the partnership, Advance SRM will also produce rugby-specific educational content, recovery tips and injury prevention advice for the club to share across its channels.
