Petersfield RFC will launch their 2025-26 Regional 2 South Central campaign with a mouth-watering home fixture against Tottonians RFC on Saturday 6th September, kicking off at 3pm at Penns Place.

It’s a spicy opener to the season, with Tottonians having finished fourth last year and racking up a big score in their last visit to Hampshire. But this year, the hosts are ready. ‘Field closed the 2024-25 campaign in fine form - notching 11 wins, playing exciting rugby, and proving they can match the best in the league on their day.

The first block of fixtures includes a tricky away day at Winchester, followed by a home battle with Guildford, who were on the wrong end of a 40–38 Petersfield classic in March.

Speaking ahead of the new season, Director of Rugby Matt McLean said:

"We have been afforded an opportunity to take down some of the league’s big hitters early doors. We are massively excited about the prospect of testing ourselves against last season’s front runners and will be looking to make a statement to the rest of the league. All our efforts in pre-season will go into giving ourselves the best chance of winning the opening block of fixtures”

The new-look division sees the departure of Newbury Blues and Wimborne, as well as relegated sides Andover and Chichester. Promoted teams like Twickenham RFC, Ellingham & Ringwood, and Havant II join the mix, while Reeds Weybridge and Old Tiffinians cross over from other Regional 2 leagues - making this arguably one of the most competitive seasons yet.

Full fixtures for the 2025-26 campaign have been released. Dates are subject to change due to competition adjustments or weather conditions.
