Sessions at Penns Place have featured a mix of returning regulars - including Jack Janaway, Jackson Clark and George Davis - alongside an exciting intake of new signings and graduating Colts.

Player/Coach Liam Perkins, Director of Rugby Matt McLean, and newly appointed 2nd XV Head Coach Craig Chance have led a robust programme with support from coaches Harley Orr and Andy Patience. This season also sees the introduction of Jim Elgar as team manager, bringing added structure and support to the senior set-up.

The first pre-season fixture is now just over two weeks away.

Portsmouth RFC Return to Penns Place
Saturday 17 August will see Petersfield welcome Portsmouth RFC to Penns Place for the first time in nearly two years.

Portsmouth finished seventh in Hampshire Counties 1 (Level 7) with impressive results against New Milton (101-0), even pushing eventual champions Havant Dolphins close in the final weeks of the campaign, losing by just six points.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3.00pm at Penns Place, with both the 1st XV and 2nd XV in action. The second XV will face Portsmouth’s second string, who will be competing in Hampshire Counties 3 this season - offering a valuable warm-up ahead of Petersfield's return to Counties 2.

Whilst no lunch has been chalked in for this friendly, the bar and clubhouse kitchen will be open throughout the afternoon, providing supporters with the opportunity to enjoy summer rugby with a beer and a wide range of food options.

Fixture Change: Bognor Withdraw from Second Pre-Season Match
Petersfield had been due to host Bognor RFC on Saturday 31 August in what would have been the final fixture before the league season begins. However, the West Sussex club have withdrawn, and the coaching staff are currently working to arrange an alternative opponent. Information on an alternative will be announced as soon as possible.

The 2nd XV will still be in action on the day, facing Fareham Heathens at home. The fixture will serve as a rematch from last season, where Fareham finished one place above Petersfield in the league standings.
