With one loss and one win under the Ram’s belt so far this season, another win would put them on the right track for a top spot in the NC3 league. In their third consecutive week of matches, Petersfield need to defend their territory at Penns Place and build upon their victory from last Sunday.

The visitors this weekend are Aldershot & Fleet Herons, a team that ‘Field faced earlier this year in January. This friendly fixture finished 29-5 to Petersfield Women; a result that will give the home side some confidence going into matchday. However, a lot can change in 8 months, with this being a new season and no doubt a new Aldershot and Fleet campaign.

Last week the Herons faced a formidable Havant 2XV side, being beaten 105-0. Coming off the back of this result, will they have a newfound fire in their bellies or will they struggle to recollect themselves?

Petersfield’s squad going into this fixture boasts strength, power, and speed, starting with the front row. In the number 1 jersey is Laura Pinder, with Lex Goddard at 2 and Maddie Drennan at 3. Jas Warren and Lucy Barton are the locks at 4 and 5 and in the third row is Daisy Plant, Esther Figgins, and Soph Sinclair-Black. Maz Gregory returns to her familiar number 9 shirt, with Tegan Kinch as her 10. Francesca Ellis, Madeline Hall, Lydia Morris and Holly Mullard make up the formidable backs squad, with captain Kam Carty as the cherry on top at 15. The players ready to make an impact from the bench include Rachael Hunt, Kerry Blomerus, Emma Ward, Hannah Wright, Becky Steer, Sasha Ward, and Coral Bush

Come down to Penns Place for a 3:30pm kick-off to support the women and enjoy a brilliant game of rugby!
