Last season, we welcomed 22 new businesses pitchside at Penns Place as we overhauled our advertisement board structure and opened the pitch up to more local businesses than ever before. Board occupancy jumped from 46% to 72% in a single season, and for 26/27 we are aiming to completely fill the perimeter by the time our 1XV play their first home game on Saturday 26th September.

Why the pitchside board works.

Penns Place is one of the busiest sports venues in the area. Rugby training runs across senior, colts, youth and minis every night of the week. Weekend fixtures cover every squad: the men's 1XV and 2XV on Saturday afternoons, youth and minis on Sunday mornings, women's and colts on Sunday afternoons. And on top of all of that, our friends at Gladiator Camp run sessions across the ground every single day of the week too. A pitchside board is seen by more than 1,000 spectators each weekend, and thousands more across the training and camp visitors that pass through the ground every single week of the year.

That is before you factor in the digital reach. Every board around Pitch 1 is captured across our social media output too. Every Trylight highlight video, every match clip, every matchday photo. Your board earns free exposure alongside the content that has taken Petersfield past 16 million views a year.

New for 26/27: The Community Partner offer.

As part of our new Community Partnership initiative, any business that becomes a Community Partner unlocks a special pitchside board deal. The annual board fee is waived for the full duration of the Community Partnership, and the business only has to cover the one-off £198 manufacturing cost of the board itself. As long as the Community Partnership remains in place, the board stays up at no additional annual cost.

It is one of the most cost-effective ways for a local business to be visible at Penns Place, and a real reward for the businesses that back our members through the Community Partner programme.
