Petersfield RFC is delighted to announce that Syn-Star will continue as Lead Partner of the club for the 26/27 season, in what is now the largest single-sponsorship deal in the club's history.
The renewed partnership sees Syn-Star retain Front-of-Shirt sponsorship on the men's 1st XV kit, alongside continued title sponsorship of the Petersfield Pub 7s, our flagship summer festival that welcomed over 3,000 spectators to Penns Place last season. Beyond the shirt and the 7s, Syn-Star will remain at the forefront of everything the club does across 26/27, from clubhouse branding and matchday hospitality to the digital content that has taken the Petersfield brand to new heights.
For the club, this is a landmark moment. The deal represents the highest single-sponsorship commitment ever made to Petersfield RFC, and speaks to the extraordinary growth of the club's commercial value across recent seasons. From a partner base that has more than doubled in two years to a season that broke on-pitch records across the senior, women's, colts and youth sections, Petersfield RFC has never been in a stronger position, and Syn-Star's continued backing sits right at the heart of that.
Giles Cleverley, Managing Director of Syn-Star, said:
"Syn-Star is delighted to be continuing our role as Lead Partner of Petersfield Rugby Club for another season. As a club that sits at the heart of our local community, Petersfield Rugby Club plays an important role in bringing together players, families, volunteers and supporters of all ages and supporting that sense of community is something we are incredibly passionate about.
I was immensely proud of everything the club achieved last season. The 1st XV secured a promotion play-off spot with an impressive 5th place league finish, while the Women's Team enjoyed a remarkable inaugural season and will compete in NC3 this year. There was also tremendous success across the youth section, with the Colts crowned Hampshire Plate Champions and the Under 16s winning the Hampshire Cup to become the top team in the county. It has also been fantastic to see several young players progressing into elite pathways, including Bath Academy.
These achievements are a testament to the dedication, talent and community spirit that run throughout the club. We are excited to build on that momentum and look forward to another fantastic season ahead, supporting Petersfield Rugby Club as it continues to grow, develop and succeed both on and off the pitch."
Petersfield RFC Chairman Stuart Barden added:
"It is fantastic news that Syn-Star are once again supporting the club in this way. A commercial partnership at this scale is what allows a grassroots club like ours to keep delivering rugby to our members every weekend, and it is what gives our players the foundations to thrive. This investment sits at the very heart of everything we are able to do, on the pitch and off it, and it is what enables us to keep improving the club year on year.
What makes this partnership special is the way Giles and the Syn-Star team continue to back the community around the rugby club, not just the team on the field. From backing the Pub 7s and the events that bring the town together, to supporting the hospitality team that shapes so much of what a matchday at Petersfield feels like, they have gone above and beyond as a partner.
Commercial partnerships at this level are, quite simply, what keep grassroots clubs like Petersfield RFC alive and thriving. Without them, we do not compete at the level we do now, we do not offer the pathway we now have from Minis all the way through to the 1st XV, and we do not deliver the events that bring our community together across the year. Syn-Star's investment makes all of that possible.
Here is to another successful season together."
The renewed partnership represents a significant statement of intent from both parties as Petersfield RFC begins its 26/27 season and continues its journey towards the club's 100th year. Further news on how Syn-Star and Petersfield RFC will collaborate across the season will be released in the coming weeks across both parties' digital platforms.
