Despite cycling through the wettest April on record - most of which fell in the 10-days that it took to cover the 1,000 miles from South to North - the team of Dave Holden, Dave Cosway, Mike Garner, Mark Hipsey and Ian Maginnis, with support from Hadyn Smith and Jim Scoular, have completed their epic jouney.
Dave Cosway confirmed that the weather had been horrendous for most of the journey with torrential rain and gale force easterly and northerly winds most days and, perhaps rashly, stated that he would do it again - presumably after a decent break and a generous application of Sudacream.
Dave paid tribute to spirit within the team, "the craic was fierce", and akcnowledged all the support that they had received via Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, text and phone, all of which helped keep them in the saddle.
The team have already received many donations, all of which are hugely appreciated. However, if there are any of you still out there who wish to make a donation to some great causes then the fundraising pages will remain open for a couple of weeks at least.
