Calling all Year 8 & 9 girls!!
Inspired by the Women’s Rugby World Cup and fancy trying something a little different? Come and join the fun of girls’ rugby at Peterfield.
Whether you are seasoned “pro” and have been playing from a very young age alongside the boys through the mini’s section (Under 5 to Under 11), or you want a first taste of the game of rugby, our girls’ section is the place where it is all happening. We like to keep the fun in the game, whilst learning and building new skills to help grow together as a team.
So what do we offer?
The main contact rugby season runs fFrom September through to May. Generally we train on Tuesdays 18:00 to 19:00 with all the girls squads (U9 through to U18). On sundays, the activities vary between matches (Hampshire Waterfall Cup and HOB (Hampshire Oxfordshire Berkshire) League), Pitch and Play (PuP) festivals, home training (10:00 to 11:30) and joint trianing sessions with other local clubs: Enough variety to keep all players engaged.
Players can also join Strength & Conditioning sessions run by the onsite Gladiator camp on Thursdays 18:00 to 19:00
If you are interested in seeing what girl’s rugby is about why not come down to our sessions - there is an opportunity to try out the sport, get fit, make new friends and - most importantly - have fun!
Open to players with or without previous rugby experience, initial sessions will cover the introduction and development of general rugby skills so don't worry if this is new to you! Simply show up on the day with gum shield, rugby (or football) boots, and water bottle in hand!
